About Taipei Express

Taipei Express is one of the chinese restaurants listed in Charlotte, North Carolina. The business is registered at 731 Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC 28207; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Charlotte; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in North Carolina are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ€“9:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Taipei Express at (704) 334-2288; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is taipeiexpress.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 724 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Charlotte and suggests consistent service.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was by the far the most flavorless Chinese food Iโ€™ve ever had. Even the chicken with sauce tastes lile absolutely nothing. Everything was extremely hot and fresh but it tasted like hot water. If you donโ€™t believe me, order it. Definitely not worth the trouble in the parking lot. And I truly question the people that enjoy this. No salt in anything. Lo mein tasted like NOTHING

FOOD SAFETY & CUSTOMER SERVICE CONCERN Iโ€™m really disappointed with my experience ordering from Taipei last night. While eating my shrimp dish, I found a long black hair in the food, which was extremely off-putting and unacceptable. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know, expecting at least an apology or some kind of resolution. Instead, I was told that I would have to physically bring the food back in order to receive a refund. That response felt dismissive and inconvenient, especially considering the situation. Food safety and customer service should be a top priority, and unfortunately this experience fell short on both. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves their quality control and how they handle customer concerns.

Been my top for Chinese takeout for a long time. It's quality and great flavor. Lunch Specials end at 3. We ordered GT Chicken, and scallion chicken, crab Rangoon, pan fried pork dumplings and special (chicken, beef, shrimp) Lo Mein. I recommend takeout because it's a small establishment. Also, the lot is very limited due to some construction beside it. Order before you head over during lunch hours. The food is super duper hot and made fresh. If you order deliver I imagine it will arrive hot because dine in temp was scorching! Service was standard. The lady that looks like she runs the place is kind. Before ordering a drink, ask if the machine is working properly. Today, it wasn't so we didn't get the drinks we wanted. GENERAL TSO CHICKEN 10/10.

Honey walnut shrimp was shrimp in a fried circle (half the circle was filled. You get small piece of shrimp and the rest is dough) with spicy orange brown sauce. Which still had no flavor. I could only tell it was spicy orange brown sauce because of the orange peel and peppers at the bottom. Fried rice was cold. She charged me an extra because I got fried rice. Will never go again.

Taipei Express; Beef & Broccoli with a Roll + Egg Drop & Wonton Soup ($15) Thereโ€™s a quiet kind of joy in a place like Taipei Express โ€” the kind where the staff greet you with genuine smiles and make you feel like theyโ€™ve been expecting you all along. My order was simple: beef and broccoli with a roll, plus a bowl of egg drop and wonton soup. Fifteen dollars well spent. The beef came tender, coated in a glossy sauce that struck the right balance between savory and a hint of sweet. The broccoli was bright green, crisp but cooked through, soaking up just enough flavor to keep every bite interesting. That little roll on the side โ€” soft, warm, a little buttery โ€” ended up being the perfect tool to clean the plate. The soup was a small comfort in itself โ€” the silky strands of egg floating around soft wontons, the broth light but full of warmth. Itโ€™s the kind of meal that doesnโ€™t try too hard, just quietly hits the spot. Taipei Express isnโ€™t fancy, but it doesnโ€™t need to be. Itโ€™s good food, kind people, and the kind of comfort that keeps you coming back.
